1. Can you give me a quote over the phone if I describe the problem to you?
In short, no. Not because we can't, but because we don't want to. Let us explain. Sure, we could quote you a low number to try to get you into our shop, then slam you with a much higher number after the actual problem was diagnosed. We are not about that here at Edgars. To accuratley give you a quote, one of our experts will need to look at your vehicle, find the problem and then create the solution that problem. Only then can we give you an accurate quote of how much it will cost to fix your problem. Remember, every transmission situation is unique, and needs a unique diagnosis!
2. Can a transmission problem cause my Check Engine Light to come on?
YES! When your check engine light comes on you need a qualified professional to take a look at what is causing the error light to come on. Give us a call, we have the capability of finding out exactly why your light is coming on.
3. How long will my repair take?
Every transmission problem is unique, we need to look at and diagnose the problem, see exactly what you need then get a timeframe for getting parts if necessary and the amount of time required to fix the issue. We cannot tell you how long it is going to take until the diagnostic process is complete. Rest assured however, that we will complete your repair in a timely manner, and be up front with you on how long it will be once we do know what the problem is.
